Getting married at Silchester Farm
Silchester Farm is an exclusive-use wedding venue in Hampshire, near the Berkshire border. Its Hampshire Threshing Barn and lakeside ceremony setting offer two very different backdrops, with celebrations continuing in the Cow Shed.
What draws me to this setting is the opportunity for a film with contrast: an intimate exchange of vows, conversations outside and a lively evening together. My focus would stay on the people who make those spaces yours.

A little thought before the day
Planning your Silchester Farm wedding film
A few things I would talk through with you before filming.
01 · THE CEREMONYMake room for your vows
For a barn ceremony, I’d agree discreet camera positions before guests arrive. For a lakeside ceremony, we’d talk through wind protection for the microphones and an indoor backup plan.
02 · THE TIME TOGETHERKeep the day flowing
Build in breathing space between the ceremony, drinks and speeches. It gives you time with your guests and gives me the chance to capture the small interactions that make a film personal.
03 · THE EVENINGLeave a little room for light
If the weather and schedule allow, a short walk before sunset can be a lovely pause together. I’d coordinate this with your photographer so you can return to the celebration quickly.

A wedding film that feels like you
I want you to enjoy your wedding, not feel like you’re on a film set. I work unobtrusively, stay attentive to the people around you and give gentle direction when it helps.
Thoughtful preparation makes room for a relaxed day. We would work through your timings, ceremony plans and practical arrangements together, so you can focus on being with the people you love.

Silchester Farm wedding videography FAQs
How would we plan the filming before our wedding?
We would review your timeline, the people and moments you want to remember, and your ceremony arrangements. I’d coordinate access and filming positions with the venue team so the practical details are organised before your day.
Can we choose you as our Silchester Farm videographer?
Silchester Farm’s published FAQs allow couples to choose their own suppliers, with exceptions for catering and evening entertainment. Confirm your booking requirements with the venue, then send me your date to check my availability.
How much does wedding videography cost?
My Highlights Package starts at £1,800 and Signature Film Package at £3,000. Visit my packages page for current inclusions, or send your date and plans for a personalised quote.
Can we book photography and videography together?
Yes. The combined package brings together a dedicated videographer and a dedicated photographer with one booking. Each person concentrates on their own role. It starts at £3,600; your quote will confirm the team and coverage.
How would you record an outdoor ceremony?
I’d plan microphone placement and backup audio around your ceremony setup, with attention to wind and background sound. We would also agree the indoor alternative and allow time to adjust if the weather changes.
Will we need to spend lots of time posing?
No. I work quietly around the day, capturing people as they are. A short walk together can give us room for couple footage without turning your drinks reception into a long filming session.
Can you include drone footage?
Where safe, permitted and suitable for the conditions, aerial footage can add context to a wedding film. Flying depends on the location, permissions, weather and airspace restrictions, so it is never guaranteed.
How do we enquire?
Send me your wedding date, Silchester Farm as your venue and a little about your plans using the form below. I’ll reply with availability and the package options that fit your day.
